“"No one you have been and no place you have gone ever leaves you. The new parts of you simply jump in the car and go along for the rest of the ride. The success of your journey and your destination all depend on who is driving"” - Bruce Springsteen
John Barnard EPK
Inpired by the age old tradition of folk storytelling, John Barnard writes thoughtful, descriptive songs about the hard working, hard living characters that make up the small towns, farming communities and cities of his native South Africa and also the American Midwest. Borrowing from the style of Jeffrey Foucault, John Prine and John Hiatt his songs are full of empathy, grace and truth. He performs regularly on small, self organized tours and coffee shops and clubs around Gauteng and his other home Wisconsin.
